Pearl of the Sahel

"The Pearl of the Sahel" (La Perle du Sahel) is the nickname of the city of Sousse, one of the oldest and most important cities in Tunisia. This nickname comes from its strategic location, its rich cultural heritage, its UNESCO-listed Medina, its vital port, and its position on the coast.
